In the Public Information Statement, the NWS in Memphis reported that Jonesboro, Jackson, and Tupelo could be in the running for the top 5 driest Octobers if no rain occurs between today and tomorrow.
Here is the data.
Tupelo
1. 0.00" (1963)
2. 0.02" (2005)*
3. 0.33" (1943)
4. 0.34" (1944)
5. 0.36" (1989)
Jackson, TN
